May 10, 2012

It’s been a while since I posted a new recipe for you to try, but after receiving this mouth-watering recipe from the luxurious Grand Hotel Quisisana in Capri, I couldn’t help but share it with all of you.

When you have a chance, why not visit the hotel website to see for yourself why the elite and celebrities alike all call the Quisisana home when visiting the breathtaking island of Capri.

This beautiful hotel is where I experienced some of my most romantic and awe-inspiring moments, as well as some of the best meals EVER!

Ingredients for 4 persons:

·         600 g tuna fish
·         1 tomato "cuore di bue"
·         8 cherry tomaotes
·         4 cherry tomatoes "datterini"
·         Garlic
·         Thyme
·         Basil
·         Bay leave
·         Cane sugar
·         Extra virgin olive oil

Slice the "datterini" tomatoes and place them in a lightly oiled baking dish seasoned with salt, a clove of sliced garlic, sugar cane, a piece of bay and thyme.

Bake at 80 ° until they wither, cool and put in oil. Do the same with the other tomatoes. Cut the tuna in steaks and place on the grill. In a saucepan combine all three tomatoes and warm slightly with lemon skin and pulp, add the basil.

Place in a plate the grilled tuna and garnish with the tomatoes.

Buon appetito!
